This course is designed to make it easy and provide students the basics needed to get you started
Blue level courses are suited for people who know the basics of flying a kite and are ready to get up riding consistently. Students will learn how to get up efficiently and ride in both directions, how to hold an edge consistently, get long board rides, and begin learning transitions and other advanced maneuvers
Black level courses are aimed at students who are riding kiteboards consistently in both directions, have good control and are becoming selfsufficient. Students will learn the advanced skills they need to hold upwind confidently, consistently complete transitions, and start getting air
Double black courses are for self-sufficient kiteboarders looking to take their existing skill set to the next level. Our talented instructors can teach you to ride a surfboard strapless in waves, jump big (really big), unhook, or land the tricks you’ve dreamed of trying
Learn how to get up out of the water for the first time; Edge effectively and control your direction of travel; Learn to “Load & Pop” to jump on flat water; Learn to “Load & Pop” to jump the wake. We utilize specialized boards tailored for beginners/intermediate riders and can get all body types up and riding or help you land the tricks you’ve been trying to master.
We keep a two-person tube on board ready to go at all times. Kids to adults can ride tandem or solo. It is the perfect activity to conclude a lesson after clients have each tried their hand at wakeboarding.
Learn to ride a surfboard behind our boat – From keeping a “Strapless” surfboard on your feet as you get out of the water to sending huge sprays off the wake. This is meant for “advanced beginners” and intermediate level riders. If a client wishes to wake surf, please be sure to mark “Wake Surfing” on the appointment booking – This will ensure we bring the appropriate board with us.
Learn to fly above the water on a board that has wings beneath it. This is an advanced skill that requires prior experience wakeboarding and strong balance – It is not appropriate for beginners. If a client wishes to hydrofoil, please be sure to mark “Hydrofoiling” on the appointment booking – This will ensure we bring the appropriate board with us.
A hydrofoil is a board that has a wing attached to it by a mast. You stand on the board in the water and, when you get water traveling across the wing beneath the board fast enough, it generates enough lift to float you free of the water and start flying. The feeling is remarkable. The founders and staff of Next Level Watersports were early adopters of using hydrofoils and have pioneered the methods of teaching people how to do it.
A hydrofoil changes the entire dynamic of traveling through water. When a boat, kiteboard, wakeboard, or surfboard is traveling through the water it generates drag that slows it down. When you utilize a hydrofoil to fly above the water there is no drag holding you back. The result allows you to achieve greater speeds, be impervious to chop, and redefine “What is Possible” on your board.
Clients are encouraged to start learning to hydrofoil behind a boat – The speeds are controllable and it allows users to figure out the balance intricacies without distraction. After becoming comfortable hydrofoiling on flat water, clients can then translate these skills to their kiteboarding and surfing.
Kiteboarding: A hydrofoil allows kiters to go out in lower wind speeds, utilize a smaller kite, and cover more ground than is possible on a normal kiteboard. Hydrofoiling opens an entirely new set of possibilities for a kiteboarder.
Surfing: A hydrofoil takes a knee-high sloppy wave day and transforms it to something incredible. When the wave provides you enough speed and the board starts flying, surfers can execute arching, high speed turns normally only accessible on the best of surfing days.
Wake Surfing: After learning the basics, you can hydrofoil a boat wake without a towrope. The hydrofoil allows users to fly along and ride the boat wake continuously creating an “endless wave”.
